The universal rules first: (1) treat every stain within 6 hours, (2) always blot — never rub, (3) always test on a hidden section, (4) cold water first, hot water only after you've broken the stain up.
Dust talcum powder or cornflour immediately, leave 20 minutes, brush off. Then dab with washing-up liquid diluted in warm water. Never rub — you'll spread it.
The turmeric is UV-sensitive — sun-drying after a soap wash removes 90% of the yellow. Don't dry indoors, or the stain sets permanent.
Cold water rinse first, then a mix of white vinegar and water (1:2). Repeat rinse. Milk-based (chai) needs the vinegar step; black coffee usually rinses out on its own.
Salt on top immediately — it absorbs. Blot with cold water, then dab with baking soda paste. Never hot water, never sun-dry until the stain is fully gone (sun sets it).
Isopropyl alcohol on a cotton bud, dabbed from outside inwards. Do not rub. Rinse in cold water immediately after.
Cold water only — hot water sets blood. Soak in cold salted water for 30 minutes, then normal wash.
