What you're actually paying for
A proper deep clean is 4-5 hours of hand work per pair — dust brushing, tongue cleaning, mesh detailing, sole scrubbing, drying, hand-finishing. Anyone charging ₹250 is either mass-machine-washing (bad for adhesives) or skipping half the steps.
How to tell a real deep clean
Look at the tongue and the insole. If those aren't spotless, the cleaner cut corners. Also check the midsole seam — that's where a shortcut cleaner leaves grime because it takes a toothbrush to get in.
